This double pane window came from a neighbor a few blocks away.  It helps attenuate the sound of the live band in the studio but certainly doesn't make the room "sound proof".  The original window was given to me by Kurt (thanks Kurt!) and it was a sliding glass door... but as I tried to install it all by myself it fell against my shoulder and cracked into a bajillion little pieces which continued to snap, crackle, and pop for the next 15 minutes or so... so, please be careful when working with glass - luckily for me it was safety glass and I didn't get hurt one bit.  Remember folks, I'm (not) a trained professional - don't try this at home! ! !   LOL :-)
