The Dell XPS has tripled the speed of the old PC... but not until I installed a second hard drive... with only one hard drive this new PC processed Adobe Audition files at about the same speed as the AMD Thunderbird 1 GHz processor... having two hard drives is the key to performance when mixing multitrack audio.
