This is a great tool for use during tracking vocals or overdubs!  I can run a pre-fader aux channel to the input of the headphone amp, then adjust volume for each performer individually.  Good stuff.  It has worked well to keep the playback on one aux channel, then run the live mic on a separate aux channel - this allows balancing the playback for the performer.
